What’s the best voltage to select for the start/ stop? I don’t mind it stopping the engine but want it to do it when stationary but hate it stopping the engine when slowing down. And the dsg getting all confused when thing to pull away again when costing to a stop because there is a gap.

I managed to get back on the beta, just emailed them directly and asked. Sent me a new link.

Today I have tested DRL brightness with headlights on (left and right).

I’d previously set this to 50%... without actually testing the results.

I can confirm the setting does not work.
Tried values from 0-100% and DRL brightness with headlights on remains fixed (looks to be about 25%).

Interesting as the stock value in Carista is 0%, yet they are defiantly on by default.

Beginning to distrust this app.
I think the only thing I’ve tested that actually works is the Sound Actuator !!
Good as it’s the most important I guess.

Anyone had any luck with a couple settings;

Automatic rear wiper when in reverse gear disabled - still wipes for me in reverse - this REALLY annoys me! Anyone had any luck disabling successfully?

Enable configuration of lock/ unlock beep in menu - doesn’t show in settings or any other menus - tried infotainment reboot still doesn’t show. Not that I use it anyway but it’s there to fiddle with if you want to!

Have you reset the wipers etc to factory settings in the menu? i had to do that to enable my cornering lights.
once i done all the upgrades i reset all to factory and they started operating

Received my Carista dongle today and activated the free 1 month membership.

Just been changing the car settings and have set auto fold mirrors, beep on lock, 4 flash indicators and needle sweep.

2 things I haven't been able to change:

Turn off soundaktor: I have read every page of this thread, and understand the option should be under 'other'. I do not have this option on 'other', and have been in and out of the car at least 5 times to keep trying. I have a 2.0 TDI 184, does my car have a soundaktor?

Disable stop/start: There are 2 'methods', A or B. Method B, selecting disable, did not work. Method A gave me the option to disable but with different voltage settings (12v, 12.1v). Anone ideas?

Overall it is good value for money, but the main reason I wanted it was for auto fold mirrors and to disable sounaktor, so I'm a bit disappointed the latter isn't an option to me.

I have the beta version which has more options but i can't see the option for turn off soundaktor?

I did the same options as you as well as disable beep when key is in ignition and door open and with beta activated the rear display with parking sensors and disable seat belt chime :)

I "think" the option to disable stop start with method A is for when the battery is at a certain voltage - low voltage you want the engine to keep running to top up the battery

Default voltage is 7,6 and higher is 12,1 (which disables start/stop for good). So You can adjust voltage between 7,6-12,1 and test the difference.

@Bendy

For start/stop disable, I also tried method B which failed. I then set is to method A and 12.1 V, works perfectly.

Thanks @Zer0 I will try setting it to 12.1v then. When you have done it, does the start/stop button illuminate orange like when you manually disable it?

After some research, I don't think my 184 TDI has a soundaktor. I found a post on a German Seat forum that said 184 TDI's after 2015 don't have it fitted. I've also had my engine in sport, eco and normal mode this week and noticed no sound difference.

I am still happy with Carista though. I might even pay the annual subscription so I can turn off the auto fold mirrors when winter comes etc.

It does not light up so it looks like start/stop is disabled. However, it does not cut the engine off.

You should have the option in the screen menu to disable mirror fold when set so you wont need carista in the future for that

I cant seem to find the option, where exactly is it? Cheers.
Hi Bendy,

Go into the car setup menu, then mirror and wiper setup, it should be the bottom one In list (assuming you have a Leon). Just until it. I switch mine off when servicing it .

Also, second photo shows where to switch on/off acoustic confirmation as people are unable to find that either (again right at bottom of just).

Hope that helps

I was given access to the Carista beta and tinkered with a few settings including the ambient lighting setting. However I’ve only just realised that my ambient lighting is no longer working. The footwell lights are okay however the lights in the door cards are off. Can anyone help? Tried activating and putting all my settings on Carista back to default but to no luck. TIA.

Submitted a feature request to Carista over the weekend, they've added the option to keep the mode button red when you put the car in sport/eco/individual mode rather than it turning orange and they're going to investigate enabling the ability to have coming/leaving home lights without having the light sensor for auto headlight's.

Good evening.
Is there a thread or document to consult for fault coded.
The car is a new CUPRA R

I knew it would throw up a few fault codes and it did

Cannot understand any of them sound bonkers if anyone knows or can point me in a direction.

The adaptive cruise and 06669 I get with new Cupra R ST.

I think they are the fault of Carista. I’ve scanned with other fault code readers and they don’t get thrown up.
Have you tried another fault code reader ?
I use Torque and Dashcommand.

Tbh Carista is not the most reliable tool for new Mk3.5 Leon’s.
A lot of the customisations don’t work and/or even stop something working and you can’t just revert the change to get it back (see the post a few above about the background lighting) plus you get false error codes.

I don’t trust it for anything other than sound actuator

Most codes on Carista are unreliable as stated above. On my MK6 Ibiza when it was brand new I got central electronics, passenger door and infotainment codes, I get the same on my MK3 Cupra.

Unless you know you have a problem I wouldn’t worry.
