i liked the look of that white cover until someone said you had to glue it

I assumed it just "snapped" in place. Don't want to have to glue a cover on. :redcard:

The glue isn’t as bad as you think - it’s already on the cover and if you want to take the cover off, any glue removal cleaner will remove the excess off the key without any effort.

You need to remove the side of the key - press the button so the key springs up, and then you should be able to pull the cover off the key. There’s a tiiiiiiiny screw (T5 I think) that holds the bottom in. I’ll try and get some pictures if you need on my spare key.

Bit of a revival on this thread, but I needed to change the battery on a key with a similar stuck on fr key cover. Managed to change the battery without removing the cover or damaging it. I warmed up (gently with a hair dryer) the side of the key where the battery slot is and gently opened the battery cover. The cover comes away from the key quite easily and I used tweezers to remove the old battery and replaced with the new battery (taking care not to damage the new battery). I’m using the thicker 2032 battery too. Took about 5 mins in total and the battery cover clips back into place pulling the key cover down with it. The adhesive still appears to be holding the edges down, after applying some pressure but time will tell if this holds or not. Anyway thought this might be useful to anyone with these covers 👍
