Good evening.
Is there a thread or document on here to consult for fault codes.
I searched the Forum and Google.

The car is a new CUPRA R

I knew it would throw up a few fault codes if I tried.

Cannot understand any of them sound bonkers if anyone knows or can point me in a direction.

Sorry, on my phone, so can’t see which OBD device/software you have used to read the codes. Apologies in advance if teaching you to suck eggs!

Look here first:

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Fault_Codes

Alternatively, use a search engine with the following typed in:

“Fault code (ie. the number not ‘fault code’) Ross Tech Wiki” or “fault code DTC VAG” which would make it easier to find.

However, not all of the codes are listed - sometimes there are fault codes that are from new to VAG modules. If you are using a genuine Ross Tech device and software, there are details of where to send the scan and they will respond.

Also, probably not the latest version of the ISO standard, but this with give you an idea of how the DTC codes are derived:

https://www.sis.se/api/document/preview/906710/

Note: ISO standard codes vs manufacturer’s codes.

Ahh okay Thanks both.

Used a borrowed Carista and did the 'oneclick mirror fold when locking'

So I wondered why all the hour long search was hopeless.

Found 01561 L R door cannot unlock or 'desafe' well it does but not sure what 'desafe' is

And my sound aktuator was disconnected in the scuttle a long while ago.

I don't know but maybe because you have disconnected rather than coded off the aktuator that is why you are getting an error (as it cant talk to it).

Yes of course.
Thanks.
Was tempted to reconnect then disable. But seemed a waste of time.
