MIB1 Unit freeze in cold weather

Anyone else had this issue in their MK3?

Happened to me twice now and it's rather annoying tbh!

Yeah I get this too, I just put it on a different screen and control via steering controls till it starts working again. Think it's a common issue across MIB1 systems what year is your car?

This cold weather performance thing with VW Group's ICE has been going on for at least 5 years - and you say it is still happening, that says a lot for VW Group's approach to problems does it not?

Mine is also a 14 plate. Tried to get the dealer to fix it but they could never replicate the problem so it never got fixed. Now I'm out of warranty and just live with it.

It's a good enough reason for me to justify the cost of upgrading the unit
