I know this is an old post of mine, but back with another cupra r soon!

Any recommendations on modified car insurers?

I did try chris knott but hilariously they won't cover a 210>280 bhp increase. Don't see why they advertise here as that's very much a typical bhp increase.. oh well.

Adrian flux said no too because my address on my driving license hasn't been updated.. something I forgot to do.

Sky insurance offered £480 with all mods declared. Will try greenlight and brentacre tomorrow.

Just checking if there is any others worth trying.

Just got a stinking good deal with Adrian flux!!

They wouldn't quote me because I haven't updated the address on my driving license. Brentacre gave me the best deal of the 8 or so companies I tried. 465 for the year on a heavily modified and mapped LCR

I guess everyone is different, but i've added the remap & FMIC this time and it only went up £24! So its £320 for the year..

12 years NCB, lives in a garage, not my main car, down for 4k per year which all helps!

I tried Adrian flux last week. As you say, everyone’s different but Adrian flux quote was lot more expensive than my renewal from my current insurer.
They then put me on hold and put me through to another firm that supposedly specialise in seats ( wtf). I can’t remember what they were called but it began with b. I had to go through all the same questions I’d just answered and they came back with £850!!!
That’s a whole £500 more than my current insurance. Complete waste of a 50 min break at work!
My cars a mk1 Cupra R. Completely standard, no mods whatsoever, 3000 mls a year, 2nd car- not for commuting, kept on the drive. And I’m 39, 17 years no claims, no points, no accidents and a HGV driver and want £850! Don’t think so.

Hi.
Sorry we couldn't help with your insurance. Unfortunately we can't be competitive on every quotation I'm afraid but thanks for giving us a try.
Regards,
Dan.
