Handling Problems

Hi guys , so I have recently purchessed a 2010 Leon Cupra R that paper work shows is sitting at 436 bhp .

The car drives really well but under heavy acceleration the front of the car goes light and gets very washy and will not go in a straight line , also when cornering at speed the front end doesn’t fill you with confidence and tends to understeer

Also noticed thAt the amount of lock left to right is different

Tires - Uniroyals rainsport

Shocks - Blistein b12 front and rear coil overs

Front BHS ARB

I know this is all dependant on how heavy the right foot is but what else can be done to help ..

Hi, bit of a weird one. Maybe needs a 4 wheel alignment? Especially if lock is different left to right. I'm a little bit behind at 370bhp and yeah, the torque steer sometimes catches me out. But nowhere near that bad.

Also worth checking the rake angle, a lot of the time lowering a car to what looks best make it quite flat really you’d want the back to be a bit high to help push the front wheels into the ground, could be a factor?
