Hello! Recently got myself a Seat after years of driving BMW:s :)

Almost fully loaded with exeption of navigation and big brakes.

It is an Alor blue 2016 Leon cupra 290 ST DSG with now about 31k miles (50k km).
Full leather with electric drivers seat, Panoramic roof, Blackpack, 19'' wheels, Seat sound, Full link, Reversing camera, Parking sensors front and rear, Adaptive cruise control, And of course all the other options that comes standard on the Cupra.

Really happy with the car so far and the only mod i am considering doing is an exhaust. Most likely an resonated scorpion :)

Difficult to explain actually. I still really like BMW and just wanted to try something different.

Biggest differens is of course the FWD, a thing that i actually did not think would be that big of deal. Still is not a big problem but sometimes when you pull out of junctions it is noticable.
Also the interior quality and sound deadining is a bit lacking in comparison

But i actually like the adaptive suspension better compared to the BMW M-Sport chassis i had in my last car. And it also had 19'' wheels.

All and all the price/performance/equipment ratio on the Cupra is really hard to beat. A comparable BMW at the same age is more or less almost double the price but most likely not twice as good.

I think you have summed it up well there. I haven't driven a real wheel drive car but would like to, what's the difference you notice when pulling away from a junction?

Im driving an 07 Leon but looked at 03 3 series BMWs but found they had too many reliability issues as they got older and plenty of rust. The interiors seems to hold up against the test of time and is certainly one of the major wins in the BMW court, I love the design of the early 00's and back BMWs, would love to own one but the cost of parts, maintenance would put me off.

Well i have had some :p

In order of owning.

-89 E30 320i touring
-92 E34 535i
-10 E87LCI 118D
-94 E38 740ia
-09 E91LCI 325D touring
-07 E61LCI 520D touring
-95 E34 540ia

LCI=facelift a=automatic

i still have the 520D and the 325D but the cupra is replacing the 325D so i will sell it soon.

The last car i had with some more power and FWD was a -01 SAAB 9-5 aero. 230hp and 350nm

The biggest thing is tourqesteer in overtaking sometimes. And what i dont like in juntions is that it kind of starts to ''chew'' sometimes because of less traction.

Well it is different for shure. But as i said in the first post it really deserves an exhaust.

But i like how civilized it actually is in day to day use but still has a lot of both performance and handling. On my regular commute i get about 37mpg (7.5l/100km). The adaptive cruise control is handy in commute traffic. I also like that it is kind of anonymous that it has the performance that it have.

I do not really drive my cars super hard most of the time. But really appriciate that a car can perform when you want it to.

I also have to say that i was tempted to buy one in almost exactly this spec when they were avalible as new. But felt like it was to expensive then. So when this one came up for sale at a fair price and locally as well it was too hard to resist.

But as i said earlier it just is a really really good car for for the money it costs to buy and own. I think that is the easiest way to sum it up.

You missed on on the best one. An E39 with either a straight six or V8!
