Wrong.

They were patented by Ford but that patent ran out years ago.

Most brands have them. SKODA do it as part of the Winter Pack in the Superb.

I'm sorry but how was I wrong? you agreed they were patented by ford?

Love - interior, massive upgrade from pre-FL and pre-FL Octavia Mk3.

Hate - Brakes do not seem up to the job; had the 340mm set up on the VRS with 272mm rears, and seemed to stop the car far more competently that Cupra with 340/310 mm set up. However, the brakes seem a lot more assured when used with ACC/Traffic Jam Assist. The rear discs/pads were changed under warranty after they warped too.

Also, it’s been unlucky for me so far for picking up dents in doors, and now the bonnet after an extension cable in the garage decided to jump off a shelf.

Like others, miss the element-heated front screen from the Octavia.

Note: heated front screen were an option being fitted to Caterhams back in early 2003 when I completed an attachment with them.

Note 2: For those complaining about road noise, one of the significant differences between my A3 and Cupra (both MY19) is the fact that the Audi has full door seats around the door apertures and the door (double seal) whereas the Leon only has a lower seal on the door. The sound insulation looks similar to be honest.

Blackpool is cold (in January) but last year was a great day out and some of us stayed overnight and have a very enjoyable meal with a few bears as well.

Anywhere North of the wall is cold 11 months a year. I'll assume that's slang for whatever you guys get up to on a sleepover.

Love - , power, noises (exhaust, turbo), heated buckets & basically everything else about it, especially love the colour (alor blue)

Hate - the annoying rattles that I still can’t pin down, I’ve learnt to just ignore them! The auto rear wiper which Carista won’t turn off! The dread of tyre costs when the time comes

Have you raised the issue with Carista Support. They should be able to help.

Update, I don't use carista but on OBD11 You have two options
1/ is just turn it off
2/ Add an option to the wiper menu so you can manually turn it off - might be worth a check to see if this is what it does.

Evening mate, hope you’re well,

Yeah I have enabled it all for menu options and ticked disabled auto rear wiper in reverse actually in Carista; the setting saves fine in Carista, but the option doesn’t appear in the cars settings ( I have looked everywhere). I had this issue with audible confirmation but after a infotainment reset with Carista plugged in it sorted the issue. But having tried this with the wiper setting I have no luck still. I will contact them however and just see what they say. It’s only a small thing but it REALLY annoys me haha.
