After reading into it I'm still unsure so after advice..
Ok the cars been off the road a couple of years and only recently put back on. Done around 70 miles of sensible driving ran sweet then had a little blast today (maybe 3 miles) had a slow drive back and left running on drive for a couple of minutes.
Whilst idling on the drive temperature gauge started getting high around 105 at highest point then settling back to 90 then would rise again then settle back to 90 as fans were kicking in.
I opened the bonnet to check coolant coolant level looked ok but it was hot under there!! To touch and the heat as opened the bonnet.
From what I've read its possibly thermostat or waterpump. But just so I've got a better idea before taking it in has anybody else had the same happen if so what was the outcome? Thanks
