Hi all,
I have a cupra 290 with 6'5 nav high, could I buy the 8' screen from ebay and will just work it straight away or does it need coding. Some say it will be OK to just replace due to being a Nav High?

Not something I have personal experience on, but I have seen people on other Seat group talking about this and it seems if you already have the High Nav unit then it should be a simple swap job, but hopefully someone can confirm this 100%

There is a bit of work involved to make it fit the existing aperture and you cannot use the later dash/vent assembly, also the output resolution has to be changed from 640 (I think) to 800, this is done in the engineering menu if I remember correctly.

It seems like something like this is possible on MQB platform cars see this swap on MK7 golf

Watch "How to Retrofit 8" MIB2 Glass Discover Pro w Android Carplay Install on MK7 / MK7.5 Golf GTI R" on YouTube

Seems like most of the electronics are shared on both cars Leon and golf so upgrading should be possible, I'm currently looking at this retrofit as well as my MIB1 5.8',unit is bit slow with responding to touch...

I think my resolution is 400x800
