So here is my 2019 blackness grey mk3 cupra r st. I picked this car up new in early August from the cupra dealership in Portsmouth. I ordered mine with the panoramic sunroof and of course the ABT performance upgrade lifting total output to 350hp. I have now done just over 2400 miles in it and absolutely love it, what a car. Didn't think I would get on with dsg as iv always had manuals, but prefer it now over my manual mk1 leon cupra r.

Current Modifications-

Revo stage 2
Progressive parts custom dsg tune
Revo carbon fibre air intake
Revo 4" turbo elbow
Revo muffer delete
Fake exhaust sound in cupra mode coded out

Future Modifications-

Fully forged RS3 aluminium block engine
Engine wiring harness
ECU & TCU from RS3/TTRS
TTE900 turbo
Do88 Performance intercooler and hardpipe kit
Revo throttle and charge pipe kit
Racingline oil management system
Racingline magnetic sump plug
Racingline stage 3+ Carbon ceramic Big brake kit with TTRS 8 pot calipers
Rs3 brake ducts
KW dcc suspension kit
Hurricane R ST custom valved exhaust
Dark smoke tints and rear lights.

Yes stage 2 sometime next month with a resonant delete as I find it too quiet.
Sadly, can’t do a res delete as no res to delete on the GPF/PPF cars.

However if you’re going stage 2 you’ll be removing the GPF/PPF so you’ll effectively have a res delete system anyway :)

Oh I didn't know that, thanks for letting me know. When its warmed up it does sound pretty good, but rather on the quiet side. I will probably change the downpipe with the stage 2 map.

For a stage 2 you’ll have to. Even the pre GPF require new downpipe with stage 2.

You’ll also need to remove your ABT module. Sadly you can’t sell it on as it’s coded to the car.

Does rmeoving the GPF affect the MOT?
Yes, it should fail in the same way as if DPF's were removed from a Diesel. Newer cars will also have much stricter emissions so the tolerances will be a lot tighter. So a car will not likely be able to pass an MOT without the PPF/GPF.

Car is definitely a hell of a lot quicker now, horsepower is in the 370's and torque is well up from 440nm. So much so I now have 4 wheel drive wheelspin in 1st and 2nd on a damp or wet road when using launch control. Below is the quickest iv had on a damp road with worn out contis. Will try again once its dry enough or have new tyres.

After giving it much thought I will not be doing anymore engine tuning. In the meantime I will be upgrading other parts of the car like suspension and brakes before the summer 2022 when a fully forged aluminium RS3 engine with a TTE 900 turbo will be installed. Will be aiming for somewhere in the 900hp mark.

Four new tyres fitted, I know they are not the best, but due to health reasons I had to cut back on expenses.

Car is 2 years old and doesn't look it. As a detailer it is rarely dirty.
