Yes I am actually !!!
Also a few if the adjoining roads around Drayton have been 30mph and show up as 40mph still.

Shame as Google/Apple/Sygic all have the correct speeds for these roads for well over a year.

I updated the NDR and various other local roads around NR8 on TomTom Mapshare back in June - still "pending".....

Probably their operative gone to sleep on the job or they buy in the data to validate against / wait for a survey car to go round. Probably the latter two. As I said they took a bunch of road developments from me in the summer and drew them in. Unlike Here Maps TomTom do the drawing. That's where on housing development people put in the builder's temporary roads rather than the estate final roads. I did get TomTom them to sort that out on one. That's estate is still unmapped on Google Maps, about 100 homes built 5 years ago. Heavy cloud base ;).

It's worth putting them in.

Have you got the latest maps downloaded, if so does it still show the NDR as 60mph ?

I was thinking that if its now been corrected on the latest maps, then fair enough.

I have a friend who has a genuine Tom Tom account and so I could report it via his account if its not yet updated, will be seeing him Tuesday.

You can report if you register for an account without owning a TomTom.

Here Maps have a process where user reports from their devices get submitted, like lorry drivers finding the road isn't suitable for a lorry. They also crib off each other running validation routines generating reports to be looked into. There were more holes in TomTom maps than Here Maps in the area I look at. Bit surprising given that people thought / think it's the bees knees... May be in the past. Cloud cover is the Google Maps down fall where they don't invest in up to date sat images so can't validate user reports. Don't send the survey cars around.

Out growing 16gb... but not yet

It appears that the standard mib2 has 32gb cards shipped with the Skoda, posts 2230, 2231 and 2222

https://www.skodacommunity.de/threa...9-release-2020-fuer-mib1-mib2.103181/page-112

Whilst large 32gb cards aren't required for the whole of Europe even with the 1430 latest release it appears VAG are planning for it. The German Skoda portal warns as well. Nothing to get too bothered about unless you are planning to drive across Europe using the standard mib2 with the workaround at some future point when the maps pops 16gb. There will be bundled zoned releases for 1430 when they actually come out on their servers but these are not required yet and of course plenty of time to get Ubunto / Linux skills up for those that want to drive across Europe using a "gold card" :).

Seems V10 on. Anybody with these Seat cards can check whether the capacity is greater than 16gb.

Future debating point as the all Europe map out grows 16gb.

(We seem to have the FEC answers for mib2 high against the Spanish board ;))

Yes I was referring to the NDR and the speed limits are still wrong in 1430.
I understand it’s just a local issue for a small amount of users, but I think it’s a quite telling indication of how far behind these VW maps are behind the likes of Google, Apple and even others like Sygic who have had correct road speeds for this road for over a year now.
Just think how many other speed limits are wrong in the VW maps ????

I will do as Tell has mentioned about registering and reporting though.

Whilst the 1430 standard maps for all of Europe (November 2019) have been released on VW servers those that like the release in zoned bundles can be found on the Russian link on the VW servers

https://www.drive2.ru/b/546118080741245947/

Those people who use the zoned maps say boot up is faster, but speed of use when booted is the same. I've never been bothered by the boot up speed.

I fear I may have screwed myself but here you go...

I followed the instructions on SEAT website (https://www.seat.com/owners/my-seat/navigation/map-updates.html) for updating the maps and formatted my SD card and now my Navi System sees there is a navigation database on the card but doesn't load it. I have a feeling I have lost some hidden files in the format. I missed the important paragraph at the top of the instructions that reads;

"Do not rewrite on the original SD card if you are not absolutely sure that you have the MapCare service!
Rewriting the SD card without hiring the MapCare service may cause data loss!"

After some research it looks like MapCare is not available in the UK.

What are my options? Except rocking back and forwards in the corner!?

We warn you about that. All is not lost if you know which release you were on. You just down load that and follower the work around. The overall.nds file is the one you want from the release but it's good to get it working then start again following the posted instructions of the workaround.

1030 is a popular release supplied with car. V7 ?.

Yes if only I looked a little better into this! Found the SEAT site and believed what they were saying would work. Yes the SD card has V7 written on it.

I have a copy of the maps folder from before I tried this update process. I'll look at the instructions. Thank you!

Just copy the maps folder back onto your SD card, it should work again

Yes he did it we had switched to the private message by then although I had not realised... seduced by the Seat website but missed the bit where it says only do it if you have Mapcare.

Seems quite common current Seat's being shipped with maps that are 2.5 years old from their release dates. Coming up a lot. Think the trailer speed issue lead Seat to hold on releasing anything above V7, but it's all fixed or they have a job lot of old cards :).
