Hi all,

As per the title really. I’ve got a Cupra ST Carbon Edition which has the 19” alloys and big Brembos as standard.

Want to fit winter tyres (the Continentals are getting very squirrely under 5degs temp) but considering getting some cheapo 19” wheels (ally or steel) to go with them to save my nice spider alloys.

Any suggestions?

The size of the Brembos is of course the determining factor and is what I expect will restrict the choice?

TD Pro Race aren’t the most expensive and I believe clear.
That’s what I recall being said, but in the context of 18” wheels just managing to clear rather than having to stay with 19s.
I also think that you need to have ET40 offset, and you will be going to 235/40/18 tyres.

Not 225/40 X 18 and ET45 - well with 8J rims, ideal wheel width for 225/40 is 7.5J though and maybe even ET50.

I’m sure you need more offset with the spoke design on the TD wheels to clear the big brakes,so ET 40/42 I believe.
With tight figments like these I would go to a big wheel supplier, like Demon Tweaks,so they can do a trial fit for you before you buy!

Yes ET42 (however achieved) for 8 x 18 ProRace 1.2 which have a minimum internal radius of 208mm to clear calipers. Not an issue with19s.

Just refitted mine at the weekend as the PS4Ss were a bit grippier than I expected.

TD Pro Race and OZ Ultraleggera in the right offset will offer good caliper clearance, but you will still need to be wary of positioning of wheel weights.
