In Egypt ibizas are now retailing with beats audio and in all honesty they sound amazing so I was wondering if it's easy to retrofit speakers to a leon and what are good sounding ones . Thank youu
Will go to a specialist and have a look at what I can retrofit thank you so much1st take all door cards off and dynamat/sound deaden all of your doors and/or the boot as well, listen to your speakers and it's should make a good difference.
If you are still not happy then you can replace the speakers with a better set of component speakers.
I don't know what your budget is but go for something like focal, rainbow or hertz brands, although with upgraded speakers to reach their potential you will have to drive them with a better amp.
If I was you I would just take the car to a car audio specialist and let them tell you the different options.
Different speakers have different characteristics, bright, warm etc and everyone has their own preference of what sounds good.
So it's best if you go listen to different ones at the shop and see which sound you like best.
Is the sound quality really that poor you’ll be willing to spend a lot of £££ and time trying to wire in aftermarket speakers, which probably Won’t look very good either... what’s the issue with the OEM ones?In Egypt ibizas are now retailing with beats audio and in all honesty they sound amazing so I was wondering if it's easy to retrofit speakers to a leon and what are good sounding ones . When I play high bass songs the right speaker rattles and it drives me crazyIs the sound quality really that poor you’ll be willing to spend a lot of £££ and time trying to wire in aftermarket speakers, which probably Won’t look very good either... what’s the issue with the OEM ones?
So you want to go into the EQ and mess about with it. Lower the bass if it’s on full it’ll definetly do that. The bass is the lever on the far left. When I play high bass songs the right speaker rattles and it drives me crazy
With better speakers it will just rattle even more, sound deaden your door cards properly and it should stop it.When I play high bass songs the right speaker rattles and it drives me crazy
Have you found any solution to it ?I think every SEAT has issues with rattling door cards especially when playing bass-y music and at a high volume.
As mentioned above, sound deadening in the door cards. I haven’t as I’m not bothered and my car isn’t bad, but it will sort it out.Have you found any solution to it ?
What did you use for the sound deafening?I've sound deadened all 4 doors, the boot, wheel arches and under the rear seat, made quite a good difference to the sound quality of the stock system, so much so it still impresses me when I crank it up!
I used a mixture of 2mm and 4mm silentcoat deadening and foam! What did you use for the sound deafening?
I wish it would, but nope no extra deadening! My car has the Seat sound system and it doesn't really rattle even when being pushed hard with bass heavy content, but I think that as part of that option the include a fair amount of extra insulation on the doors and even the fenders.

One of the things that surprised me was see the noise insulation on the fenders (will make a photo if I remember) and pretty sure there is something on the doors too, given how deep the bass is (regardless of the subwoofer) and the doors don't rattle and sound tight.
I have a 2017 ST Cupra, in case there is some difference on the ST.
I have the Seat Sound system as well and mine rattles like crazy. My car has the Seat sound system and it doesn't really rattle even when being pushed hard with bass heavy content, but I think that as part of that option the include a fair amount of extra insulation on the doors and even the fenders.

Eh!? What year is your car?
Mine definitely does - moved from a Skoda Octavia RS (MQB platform) and there was a clear difference.
where you used foam?I used a mixture of 2mm and 4mm silentcoat deadening and foam!
What do you mean by insulation on the fenders? The sound deadening pads on the back of the wheel arch liners or attached to the metal panel inside the car?
