It does seem curious that mainstream media hasn't picked up on the factory fire. would have thought that would be an easy write up and stir some drama which the papers love.

I’ve spoken to LO and SEAT individually this lunch time and unfortunately I can only echo the comments above!

LO still saying car should arrive at the dealer for 10th Jan.
I then rang Seat CS and they confirmed that the car has not been built due to a fire and they cannot provide an ETA. Original build week was week 48, Lux, Nevada White.

So frustrating!

Seat have been liars too
Yeah, My LO account manager sent me the below

Please see the below from Seat
It was due to be built 2 weeks ago but due to the fire at the factory there’s currently a slight delay on when the vehicle goes into production.
As it stands it is still in the factory,

I will get another update for you at the start of Jan with the progress.

So I took from that the build week is now January, no mention of it being the 10th January to me so clearly they aren't talking to each other. You'd think they would send out a standard email to everyone who has a cupra on order

Not long caught up with everything on here and I gave in and called CS for an update.

I swear if SEAT was a person right now I'd probably punch them!

So was told BW48 for my car (Lux in mag grey with sunroof), was updated on the 2nd saying it's in production. Happy days right?!

Thankfully because of this forum I was made aware of the fire because clearly them b******* were not going to tell me!

Only to call today and receive a lot of BS, been told the car is currently awaiting production and when I asked why I was not made aware of this, nothing. To be told the delay was due to a fire at a supplier that was only made aware to them last week, BS! Also saying they cannot give me an estimate to when the car will be built now as they are waiting for further information from SEAT. I swear it's been a bloody month since the fire! So a delay because of demand and now a delay because of the fire, and neither were made aware to me!
Also asked about lead times for the car to get to the dealer and was told 3-5 working weeks. Going by peoples experience on here, I'm also going to call BS on that!

Well looks like I'll be car shopping over the Christmas break. Ok rant over, apologies for the long comment!

Could it possibly be just specced with bucket seats and no winter pack?
No, not in the UK, you can't add bucket seats, same as you can't add winter pack, leather or KESSY etc. You are extremely limited on the Leon to cut down on production time (Obviously hasn't worked though). It's also a Lux so definitely MY20 as a MY19 Lux had leather seats, leather door panels and winter pack as visible differences.

From the pics this visibly has Buckets, KESSY, wireless charging and ACC so definitely a MY20 Lux.

I thought previously those things were optional extras though, not so much part of the Lux pack. its not that high mileage for a MY20 considering they are supoosed to have been around ssince July. Could be an ex demo car now that you can't order them new anymore.

Edit~: Actually you are right, what gives it away as MY20 more obviously is heated bucket seats which has never been an option other than on MY20 Lux upgrade. Before you could only get leather heated seats.

Have they stopped new orders? I didn't know this. Makes sense to be an ex demo if you can't buy them anymore like you say.
It's done more miles than mine. I should be ashamed haha.

Yeah, the guys from Letchworth Seat confirmed in another thread that you can no longer order the Cupra or FR trims new. You can still get the SE and the excellence though.

Looks like you guys will have the last ones of this shape and hopefully hold their value well. I
have one of the last Leather models which hopefully helps hold some value.
