Just bought 1.4TSI ACT FR - No engine cover?

Hi,
I’ve just bought a Leon 1.4tsi act FR on a 17 plate from a Seat Dealer on Xmas eve, love the car, but I’ve popped the bonnet for the 1st time to check levels and normally modern engines have plastic engine covers covering the engine (probably gunna say tsi or something) but mine doesn’t have one...I can see all the engine and plug coils etc...is this normal on this engine?

Yes, my 1.4 was the same, so surprised when I got my 1.5 to see it had one!

Just wanted to make sure cos if it was missing I’d have contacted the dealer to replace it.

Mine is the same, but I think there is a cover available but it has an Audi/VW badge on it. No point really as it just gets in the way.

I have no preference in it having a cover or not, just seemed strange as nowadays all you see is plastic covers in an engine bay.

As said the SEAT's don't come with a cover. The VW/Audi's do, it's possible to fit them if wanted and just change the badge.

Yeap, 20$ from aliexpress and few bucks for the badge.
The cover set is OEM and fit as in home.
