They’re a good tyre but they just don’t last long. I’ve read some people have got like 2,000 miles out of them, some have been luckily enough to get 5,000 out of them. I think they’re just naturally a very soft tyre.

Most people opt for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, or the Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric F1 tyres.

@adogillo has P Zeros on his Cupra and they’re shot already and he’s had them on for a few months.

Pzero’s are a good tyre, the pzero rosso’s come on new ferrari’s, so if they do for a ferrari they will do on a poxy seat hatch

pzero nero’s are the cheaper ones but still a decent tyre

car forums seem to get hardon’s for certain brands and nothing else will come close or is wrong, everyone seems to bum michelin pilot sports on here, make your own mind up i say

I had nearly 20k out of my Michelin PS4S on my 290. I’m at about 10k on Goodyear SuperSports on the R. They’ve still got 6mm tread on the front too, so hoping they have a fair bit of time left.

I think I'll give them a go, aslong as they improve grip I don't mind needing to replace them slightly sooner :drive2:

There are lots of varieties of pzero’s

from

pzero nero
pzero mo
pzero rosso

so depends entirely which ones you are talking about.

If you have a Cupra go for the PS4S, or one of Goodyear's Assymetric's new offerrings..5 or Supersport, if you have a non-Cupra, most of the premium tyre brands have decent offerrings. Definitly a step up especially in the wet over the Chinese make you will be swapping them out from. I only (from experience) do not recommend Bridgestones, had Turranza and Potenza before...both were not very good!

Like another member, my B8 S4 came from factory fitted with P-Zero Rossos, so I just got another set fitted when they ran out of life, I only use that car for long journeys and fit Michelin Alpin Pilots in winter, so their ability to cover lots of miles is not an issue.
I am a Michelin fan normally though, and my wife's 2015 Polo 1.2TSI SEL will probably end up with suitable Michelins at tyre change time as it gets more use in a year than my car.

I got 20k out the front set of Continental sport contact 3's and just over 40k out of the back two. Only replaced the back two after they warped with age but they still had plenty of tread on them.

I have since swapped them for dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2 because they are about £15-20 cheaper per tyre. Which so far have lasted over 20k on the front. Still a good 4 or 5 mm to go before needing replacement as well. They are quiet and keep me on the road for the type of driving I tend to do.

depends on driving conditions the longevity of a tyre, I do next to no motorway miles all my driving is B roads and the odd A road so I have never managed more than 10k out of a set of front tyres of any make.

Motorway miler could make those same tyres last 30k-40k but its all about individual usage

When I had my 290, I did the factory conti 6s in just under 5k and that included swapping them front to back, put PS4S's on and got 12k out of them before the car went back, my b9 S4 came with p-zeros on, they lasted slightly over 5k before I put PS4S's on, currently on 12k and have plently of life left

I've already got 10K miles on my PZ4s and I'm about to swap them front to back as they seem to have another 10K of life. Very decent tyre and most importantly durable and with excellent rim protection. Mostly downtown use with some motorway miles as well but always more than spirited driving. Totally recommended if absolute traction is not what you' re after.

I have p zeros on my cupra. Find them ok. Dont get major wheel hop unless really trying.
I do find that they seem to tram line/wonder on my commute to work which is 40 miles of dual carriageway.
Seem to lasting ok. Done 4500miles so far and not much wear.

They came on my b9 s4, they were OK, no comparison to the Pilot sport 4S's I swapped them for though, but they will certainly be better than what you have on now

I have been looking at the B9 S4 Avant
I do love my mk3 Cupra, have only had 3 months but really like the look, drive and sound of the b9 s4.
What was you driving previously and how much difference is it?

I had a 290 black edition for 2 years before the s4, mines a saloon though, its a better car in every aspect, but it's also a more expensive car, 50k list when I spec'd it, the interior is a lovely place to be, I spec'd the magma red leather, I've got a tuning box on mine and it absolutely flys! It's worse on fuel than the cupra but that's to be expected
