Heater only blows warm on maximum setting

Hello!

Very new to this!

Both driver and passenger side only blows hot air on maximum setting so I’ve done some research and wanted to check the blower resistor for damage

So I’ve taken off the panel under the glove box and the glove box itself but I just can’t find it. I’ve searched through YouTube and I can’t find a video specific to the 2010 seat Leon

Help pls!!

Thanks
Ricky

I'm having the same issue, is this the right part number for the facelift Leon? 3c0907521f

@Treve I think the pre-facelift and facelift have different resistors, correct me if I'm wrong.

Hello thanks for your reply

Do you have climate control too? And is your Leon 2010?

Ah that’s good to know!! Is this the blower resistor which is under the glove box?

Thanks!

Its in the picture you posted the two connectors just to the right of centre in your pic after checking numbers.
My car is a 2010 with Climate control so same as yours.

Mines this one attached.

Going to get a new one as soon as i can.

Not sure if you've tried the following yet but I had a similar issue a while back and mine was caused by a coolant leak/Not enough coolant in the reservoir, might be an idea to give that a quick check.

My issues got worse over time with it eventually not getting hot at all, topping up the reservoir gave an instant fix to the problem so might be a cheap place to check whilst you try diagnose other stuff.

Hello all!

Sorry I haven’t been getting the email notifications - thanks all for messaging

Ok I will top up the coolant it is within min and max but I will just add some and see

Re the temp sensor this is my next move then to replace this. I still have the glove box off so shouldn’t be too difficult

I will let you know how it goes!!

Thanks

I’ve been reading up on coolant and I’m on 70k bought the car at 50k and I’ve never done a coolant flush. Not doing a coolant flush can cause heater issues

Reckon I should do a coolant flush?
