Got my front wishbones powerflex'd at the weekend. Feels pretty good after.

Curious if someone could clear this up, the wishbones that came off were two right (or left?) ones, in other words they were the same but one was just flipped. Both OEM and didnt look like it'd been replaced. Is that normal?

Swapped fender to fix damage from some unknown hit an run and fixed the topmountbearings. (Fitted by the garage a few months ago. One side was fingerloose allready and the other side looked like the last picture. )

Car failed its MoT on emissions and tyres today. Hopefully the emissions I'll have in hand by just going for a long drive over the weekend with some Millers in the car, but any thoughts on tyres?

I've got Avon ZV7s on there at the moment, and they've been fine, but started perishing pretty quickly - I live in Brighton and the sea air seems to bugger things up, while I also don't do that many miles anymore, so that probably explains a few things too - average of 2,000 miles a year.

I know everyone will have their own favourite tyre, but thought I'd throw it out there. I loved Pilot Sports, but they're too expensive for the kind of driving I do these days, and when I tried Pirellis they only lasted about 8,000 motorway miles.

How about Bridgestone Potenzas?
..................... emissions????:blink:haha if id had taken my car to kwit fit then they would like to know why its off the scale....until thy see its got no catalytic converter :hide: as for the tyres I have toyo r 888s there not bad managed a good few track days in them. But once you get more heat into them its then you realise you need semi slicks( full if you have the chance to hold both)

The big job today was taking out the EGR and cleaning it - which actually turned out really well.

The other job, well, the photo will give you an idea. Don't know why I left it so long...

Fitted a 70 quid pioneer head unit from Halfords

and just finished fitting an eBay special downpipe to the standard cat back until I get a custom one. To our surprise it went on a treat, 80 quid well spent!

I just keep looking at all the shiney bits lol.
I for got to take photos but now stripped all the underseal/stone chip stiff along the will and also all the sealer in the boot. Every little helps for weight saving

Making some good progress in the late night on the Cupra R front grill honeycomb design same honeycomb size as the cupra top sport grill. Still some work to do... To be continued tomorrow!

Woof...

While I was removing my EGR valve on Saturday, I noticed one of the lines has been resting on the actuator and there's an imprint of it in the hose.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Nothing seems to be happening or not happening as a result of this, but I don't want to cause myself big and expensive problems further down the line that I could stop here and now.

Replace it all with 4mm silicone piping

I think it needs it - I just had a feel of it and it's really thin where it's worn.

You might not be able to tell from the photo, but where does it go? There's a connector I can take one end off a few inches further up, but it goes down in the other direction and I don't know whether it's something I'll need to get under the car to change.

This might help - it goes behind the air intake pipe and it feels like it reaches a clip of some sort, and then what feels like some braided hose starts.
