Hello there I am new to this and I'm just wanting some advice I have no idea what this hose or pipe is or does but it has split and I have mo idea what to search in google to buy it

I'm unsure if I take it off the engine struggles then goes to cut out also I can hear it hissing as the pipe is split and been wrapped in tape
