I agree with this to a certain extent - Engines like what’s in Nissan GTR are Hand built and Nissan admit none of their engines produce exactly the same horsepower - because there is room for error in a hand built process. The likes of these 2.0 EA888’s are mass produced to fine tolerances (I work in the industry - we manufacture to less than 30 microns for most precision parts) so I think as long as you vary the rpm ie don’t idle it and don’t rag it when it’s cold or redline it all the time you
Will be alright. At least that’s what I’m telling myself as I can’t help driving it quickly!! Tried to use paddles to keep it going above 5000rpm however but I think for the brief moments it’s in the higher rev ranges probably help it to ‘break in’
It says don’t go over 4000 revs ?

so far I think 3000 is max mine has gone to,I’m just driving in comfort with slightly less than normal throttle between 5-30%
It’s nearly done 200 miles

I think at 300 I’ll will maybe give it a bit more 3500 max and then 600 onwards open it up

that seems to fit in with all the advice don’t baby it but nurture it

In comfort to be fair it changes gear between 2-2500 revs

This would be my advice too. Varying the revs is important in the early miles as it avoids gazing the bores. A throrough warm up is important too - E92 M3s were famous for running their big end bearings but this could be avoided by staying below 3,000 rpm until the oil was up to 100 deg.

it was more the don’t full throttle it Part I didn’t agree with - going to or towards the redline every so often should be good for the engine as long as everything is warm as will help the run in process in my opinion! So yes don’t baby it but don’t drive it like you’ve robbed it (easier said than done that bit):drive1:

That's just the production lines, from the looks of it? No mention of shipping, which will be handled by the port workers and shipping companies that VW contract work to.
Mine too is sat in Barcelona and ready to ship. I had an update yesterday that my delivery has been brought forwards by a week, happy days!

I also ordered from Zen 19 Nov
My car is being delivered next Tuesday (hopefully)
Hope your delivery goes well
Got it this morning! Before the allotted time slot actually at around 8.45am. Driver took it for a wash too which wasn't needed as I would've cleaned better but can't complain. Now time to play with it! :D

I’ve spent hours on mine and cannot get it to not sound like a bag of s!!t. Thinks it’s just an awful stereo. Really ruins the owning experience for me. (Standard 300 cupra st) would be interested if anyone has some ‘good’ settings too

Hello mate. Looks brilliant! If you don’t mind me asking how much did it cost? I have mine on a lease and wondering if it’s worth investing re the inevitable scratch and chip charges at the return date
