Used the car for the first time today, and noticed the time has not adjusted for BST. I thought this would be done automatically now, or is there some setting I need to check or does it have to be adjusted manually ?

You have to check the 'local DST' to jump an hour forward.

Although it says update with GPS it actually uses DAB from the radio, so you have to tune to a station like BBC for it to work.

It's a PITA as only doing it twice a year i can never remember which setting.

it's easy to change manually just like turning your own lights on and off is easy too but some people are too lazy to do that too!

Mine changes automatically, but occasionally it reverts to being one hour out, and then the next time I use the car, it has gone back to the correct time again!

Mine was automatically updated as well, haven't used the car since last Friday (27th March) just went out to check, unlocked car opened drivers door then closed it and the MFD showed correct time, didn't even have to switch ignition on.
