This makes US gun laws start to make sense. What's going on in your country? Home invasion to steal a car? That's crazy.

From the post on another thread where I was talking about gun laws in the UK. In a scenario where someone is threatening you with a machete, dumping both barrels of your 12 guage into their stomach would be reasonable force.

Yep, in my post on the other thread I explained why guns are pointless as defence in the UK.

My mate posted me this from the golf forum - shocking - think a crossbow maybe even scarier than a gun! - I live on a terrace so park car end of street with a disklock. Keep my spare keys in a Faraday bag by back door. Would rather keys were easily accessible to them then them hold up me and the family!

No license needed for a crossbow unfortunately, and they are no less lethal than a firearm.
