Its so funny ...there is a guy at my work that sits opposite me - he told me yesterday he has owned his 98 R reg Laguna 2.0 from new - its on 78,000 miles and has NEVER had a service. He has only changed the pads and put in some more oil. Itson the original everything and baring in mind its a 2.0 it will do 95 flat out in 5th lol

why bother going to a dealer now if you already done one service yourself its already done the damage to its resale value.?

30k service isnt a major service. all thats envoloved is an oil change pretty much. Its affected the reasle value but not as much as if i didnt bother with any in the future.

Found a local VW specialist now, £150 all in for a 40k service.

Oil/filter
fuel filter
air filter
plugs
brake fluid
And inspection.

Local westerham Seat garage wanted £270.lol

Good price, i was 260 for a 20k service from the dealer, local garage did it for £370 - 230 for 2 new tyres, they also fitted the oil temp sensor.
