I decided to have another go to see how fast my remapped ibiza is,

Having taken out the spare wheel and only having 30miles of diesel left in the tank, i drove to my private test track to give it a go,

My fastest 0-60 was 6.38 secs :funk: and my other 3 goes were,

6.66
7.01 - (too much wheel spin)
6.51

The fastest 1/4 mile time i achieved was an astonishing 14.94 @ 96.8 mph :funk: , other goes were,

15.38 @ 95.3 mph
15.65 @ 95.0 mph
15.22 @ 96.1mph

So i reckon 100mph would take around 17 secs,

Has anyone else had the remapped Ibiza timed?

BTW, I was using a G-tech Pro to get the times,

Cheers

Adam

i'm still struggling to see 6.38 in a remapped tdi sisson.

espcially a you need to shange to 3rd to achieve it, or are you starting in 2nd from the off.

Also this timer is itaccurate, ie, is it GPS etc and how does it work out the distance on qtr mile and terminal speed etc.

And ur hitting under 7 seconds... wow... just imagine if you put the right fuel in what it could do :p

Sorry, couldnt help it... PRO DERV BABY!

Anyway, that does seem very good indeed... maybe you have a very good engine, that loves your remap very much!?

Havnt timed mine, but Sissons if you turn up to a meet do bring ur equip with!!

TBH, im not 100% sure its accurate, people have used them at santa pod at the same time and got results pretty much the same as the pod's

Traction control was off at the time, i started in 1st, 2.5k revs, brought the clutch out slowly and fed revs in, I tried to video it by wedging my phone in the steering wheel, but when i changed into 3rd my phone fell out of the steering wheel.

I'll try to get a mate to video the timer using my digital camera and then upload it somehow

i reckon a sub 7sec is possible on a remapped 130 (depending on the remap) but its not easy to achieve, u need a perfectly dry smooth surface for a start. Mine according to the speedo (i know its not accurate) does the ton in mid 14's so add around 3 secs leaves it at around 17-18.

How's your clutch holding out?
I've never timed it, but I think I would struggle to get under 7 seconds in my remapped pd160 to be honest, it's hard to get traction and I don't want to wreck the clutch.

I tried filming using my digital camera and got a small video showing the timer, i did a 0-60 6.58 and 15.1 sec 1/4 @ 96.3 mph. There was some slight wet patches on the road mind.

Ill upload them tomorrow,

I think its got 3 accelerometers inside it, which measure distance, You must be on flat ground tho, else it won't let you do it,

The clutch is fine,

It slips abit in 4th, 5th or 6th if i accelerate with the revs too low,

Not slipped much now the weathers getting warmer tho,

How did you time that?

Mine will hit a ton in 17ish,but i'm running 17inch wheels so the speedo will be more accurate

Its the correct tyre size which deems accuracy of the speedo, not rim size.

i got told that the speedo over read with the standard 205,45,16 tyres, i run 215,40,17, therefore the speedo will be more accurate, or am i wrong???

G-tech doesn't read the speedo anyway,

Speedo will be more accurate.
when on stock tyres and doing 70mph (speedo reading around 73mph) you would actually be doing around 71.5mph with your 215/40/17's.

According to my handheld GPS, my speedo was spot-on on the standard 205/45/16 Sport wheels & tyres. The only car I've owned with an accurate speedo...
