If it's a rattle, chances are it is the timing chain and/or tensioner. Get VCDS on it and it will show "chain elongation" if it's bad enough.
My experinces with the older 6-speed wet clutch DSG have been good- 180k miles over two cars without problem. Sadly electric cars out of budget y...
As someone has totalled OH's rather nice 18 year old Lupo Sport, it looks like we'll be looking for a new car.
I can't really drive a manual...

Yes. It's harder in a...
I find Meguiars wheel brightener good. Not tried The Bilt-Hamber stuff, but every product of theirs that I have tried is good.
I'd be f**cked if I'd let Halfords near my car.

Got the radio out, removed the two screws hidden behind the radio.
Perhaps a recall *should* have been issued (though while its safety related, it's unlikely to actually cause an accident), but the cars have not...
Yep, it's fitted to BMW, Ford, Mini, Toyota and Mazda to my knowledge, maybe others.
I think they'll only repair under goodwill with a full dealer history. I had the repair kit fitted last year by an independent.
Yep. Me too. it's paid for itself many times over.
