Are DIY smoke test's feasible ?, I have no one near me who can do this and AMD (nearest specialist) wont , my "supercharger whine" is starting to bug me now.

What's the best way to do this? I've just got some smoke pellets from screw fix wondered best way to go about it? Start the pellet and drop in the airbox and put lid on or a better way?

I've recently got a snap on smoke tester machine. What's the correct way of carrying out a smoke test on a LCR, taking the TIP off the MAF and applying a bit of smoke and pressure through there? Any help is appriciated as need to get my car checked for leaks and don't want to damage it. Thanks
