Buy a left hand drive car???
I've just put two 100w equivalent daylight LED bulbs in the pendants in my single garage and OMG what a difference.
Check out Roly's and Martin M's build threads....
Yep, that looks right, that's definitely a facelift grille.
Yes, providing the sub-type of car is the same across both models (i.e. pre facelift, mid facelift, post facelift).
Yeah, what's it been up to if it's still in the UK?
Ah, of course, Rob T's car.
But that's a bit of a mark-up from £13k to £20k!
Do appreciate they've done a bit of work on it.
No problem I meant you don't have to buy 16 inch wheels to fit 280mm brakes as 15 inch are fine.
280mm brakes fit under 15 inch wheels, and the 256mm brakes from the 8v GTi fit under 14 inch wheels.
Me to, although would have to be a weekend.
Hi, you're in the wrong section I'm afraid.
Check the crankcase breather pipe. When mine perished I lost about 3 - 4 mpg.
And the 16v Mk2 also had 280mm so it's not just the 1.8T Mk3 you need to scavenge for parts.
All you'll also need 15 inch rims to clear them.
If it's a bigger centre bore and they bolt on ok, you just need some spigot rings to reduce the centre bore down from whatever it is down to 57.1mm.
You can also fit 14 inch on brakes up to 256mm.
CHeck out Roly's readers rides thread - he's built 2.

That'll be at the flywheel. My valver made 182bhp at the flywheel and 142bhp at the wheels and it's had quite a few mods (including cams and a...
