Well - its 18 months...
You can definitely change them. I swapped my standard ones for the cupra honeycombe type.
Don't buy a new bumper - throwing away.
2nd hand ECU will be around £50 and about the same again to code it to your car.
Clean the contacts, make sure everything is water tight and...
They will fit - how well they work is another matter entirely!
Why do you want a custom map? What mods do you have?
