  1. Will a Turbo still boost okay with leaking oil seals?

I can confirm, my top oil feed to the turbo has gone... this results in a fair amount of oil dripping and I also have oil/smoke in the exhaust too, so suspect internal brearing failure too.

  5. what have you done to your car today ?

It's a K03 turbo, oil seals have gone, but it could do with a full rebuild or new cartridge. I've put for sale threads up for both wheels and tyres. Wheels are Team Dynamic Pro-race 1.2s in black 18x8's with Toyo T1R rubber, seen about 14 miles on the road in total.. £600 asking. Recaro...

  13. Modifying intake

Less heat under there than in the engine bay. You could remove the bumper and do some cutting on the rear of it to fit an intake on the rear of the fog lighting surround, and feed it up to the filter.
  14. Problems selling an LCR

Not so, the design life of any component on a car is limited to a certain period, Turbo's aren't a long life part. My Turbo oil seals went at bang on 100k after being owned by a single elderly gentleman all it's life, I have never redlined my car or mapped it. The seals just wear out...
  15. Modifying intake

Please do not put bonnet vents on... they look gash and out of place on a Leon. The bonnet doesn't have the right lines to suit a vent. Do you have an induction kit? if so, do you have a heat shield fitted? If not, then you could run a dedicated cold feed into the airbox, from under the arch...
  16. Problems selling an LCR

First of all I would say your biggest problem there is the use of Gumtree.... it isn't the place to go when looking for that type of car. If an advert state how much money has been spent on a car, but the owner won't spend £30 to advertise it, it might make people wonder.. no offence. The...

  18. Bad bad camber!!

MOT doesn't really mean anything, other than the car is okay for the 30 mins it's in there being tested. Only picks up things that are broken or breaking, anything could happen as you drive off down the road.
  19. 2010 TDI Fuel Filter leaking!

No not really, but that doesn't mean anything. If something is going to fail then it will do, common problem or not. If there if dripping fuel, then it is either damaged hoses/clamps or the filter, you've checked over the clamps and hoses, so the filter is the likely culprit.
