Not much of a clue about MOTs is most of this just welding that needs doing obviously not the pad or hoses cheers :)

If it was my car and I was at work I'd drive it home but that's me, tbh I'm sure it will be fine just don't hammer it around lol have a little look under the bonnet when u leave work if it ain't too dark by then

Look for any split hoses to start with, it could be the tiniest pipe I remember one of my cars a small hose had split put my car in limp mode engine management was on etc so yeah check all your pipes and cables thoroughly :)

So when your driving it what's it doing? the management light is on and won't go above how fast? Could be a vacuum hose for the turbo could be a sensor...

If its thrown up a warning light then u should plug it in, it could be numerous different problems lots of sensors and stuff which would be hard to pinpoint wish I could be more helpful :/
