Need a new rear brake caliper for my 04 LC. Have sourced an OE TRW one from scrappys in good nick, but from a 04 Golk Mk5 SE Fsi (1.6L). Does anyone know if this would fit my Leon? Cheers

No probs. I had fume smell too and turned out to be my crankcase breather hose which was split. Luckily it was an easy spot in my case. Some of the other hosing do look quite tricky to get to and inspect.

Prepare for a love/hate relationship lol

1. Check hoses in engine for any splits. 2. Leak from door seals or pollen filter (plenty threads on this)

Worth noting that the youtube video in the link to the fix makes it look quite easy. Getting that snap ring off was a bit of a pain.
