  1. Sadly its good bye Toledo

Title says it all, today we part exchanged my utterly epic Toledo SE. :wtf: Its simple, my knee is so knackered and the Rheumatoid Arthritis has just gotten so bad I just cant get in and out of the car with any resemblance of grace or ease. Have traded out 1.4 sti dsg for a Yeti SE tsi dsg. We...
  2. Toledo vs Leon vs Ibiza

I know but no go dude my left knee is poggered, "a typical infantry soldiers knee syndrome" so its two pedal autos only for me so limiting. Due to decreased mobility and movement may have to go for a higher position ergo easier in and out, possibly a Yeti TSi DSG, no way paying the staggering...
  3. Toledo vs Leon vs Ibiza

Even though I have lot of time for my preferred dealer there is no way I'm paying the price for a Toledo upgrade. Not only sky high but no longer a petrol DSG... only one petrol DSG in Ibiza and Leon now... bonkers. I have message UK H/O and the reason is lack of demand for petrol, I find that...

30/12/2015 update... Finally managed to upload... I have chosen to use the rear wash wipe fuse so only live when ignition is on. Using nextbase 101 and nextbase power adaptor kit from Halfords as a first attempt Remove the side panel and make small hole from the side of the fuze...

BINGO... i keep a bottle of water in the boot for emergencies etc along with other gear... bottle gets condensation on the outside and this seems to be creating the excess misting up in the rear window... deerrrr didnt think of that
  8. Dashcam fitting

as a first go I have gone with a halfords NextBase 101 £39.99 and the Nextbase InCarCam Hardwire Kit at £20.00 Im fairly pleased with it but the only negative is it could be a wider angle lense. Im planning on getting a slightly more up-spec unit in Jan and will be donating this one to my...
  9. Dashcam fitting

Hi Joe_3490 - Not when it is wired this way, it is only powered on on when the ignition is on hence using the rear wash wipe. This is so as to avoid the always on should you leave it in the 12v power out socket and it dispences with the wires as its almost invisible too. cheers
  10. Dashcam fitting

yup... it was fitted before but I took it out when we had the recent "cant fix your car may need to replace it" drama. will take pics this time to assist the Toledo community.... have a photobucket account so happy days. will be using a twin fuze splitter with the rear wash wipe will also clean...

  13. MKIV rear condensation

Hello world... Do any other MKIV owners experience excessive rear window condesation as soon as the temperature drops when parked overnight, have checked all the boot area bone dry even after the recent rain. Zero water pooling in rear doors & all foot wells and carpets are also dry...

absolutely chap, hence this one will be with us for much longer until there is another option from the Seat stable. (if suddenly cash was no option a new highline L&K Superb would be rather nice.... cough)
  15. Toldeo heating problem & "oh what a drama"

Thanks for that. Still feel awkward as dealer did do a decent turn around on my 10K service but needless to say I will never be returning to somewhere for which I have zero confidence. I'm sure Spire Watford do a very good as standard service regime but not for this call sign ever again. Its a...
  16. Water in Door

Ditto this problem as well. Dealer advised to simply pull the rubber down and allow teh water to to escape.... did that was like a pipe letting go, amazed how much water was inside. Dealer said teh door inner is classed as "wet area" and not to worry, i trimmed a tiny bit of rubber away on the...
  17. New Models

Sadly no petrol dsg for us low mileage peoples Change my car every 3 to 4 years and have sent a message to Seat UK re "why no petrol DSG?" 18. Toledo vs Leon vs Ibiza

When I bought our Toledo we had an Ibiza ST, SE spec 1.2 tsi DSG Fantastic car and did everything we needed and loved it, just made a schoolboy error and didn’t take into consideration our sons would become giants. Changed it after only 26 months. Test drove the Leon and Toledo. If the Toledo...
  19. Toldeo heating problem & "oh what a drama"

Just felt it worth a share.... At the start of November my hot air climate control just stopped with the hot air. Seat Toledo SE 1.4 TSi DSG - 25 months old and 13300 miles. Owner fault report to dealer: AC on clod “LO” blowing fine at 3.4 degrees and the penguin is happy. Any other temp...
