Just waiting for my winter alloys to arrive. I bought a set of 18" Skoday Octavia VRS Golus alloys. Matching them up with a set of Vredestein Winter tyres. Should be easier to clen that the 19" multispokes and no diamond cut surfaces :-)
We have owned our Cupra 280 SC for a couple of months. Top spec with bucket seats, DSG and multi spoke alloys (Conti's rather than Bridgestones ). Moved from an Alfa GT Q2 diesel with LSD, so fairly big change.
Cupra is obviously much quicker. Completely different league for acceleration...
Decided to take the plunge and go for 18's for the winter wheels. Looking for OEM-ish style wheels, preferably without any diamond cut sections which will go downhill fast on salty roads.
Any thoughts/ opinions welcome.
Spacers would disturb the offset and push the wheels nearer to the wheelarch. I am more concerned by the larger discs and calipers fouling the inside of the wheel.
If someone has tried it I would be interested to hear from them.

Sportwagon is our workhorse. No need for an ST as a daily driver. The Cupra is great, but it's no Alfa Romeo. :) That's why the Spider is staying as well. :D
