Hi Paul
Thanks for the reply....
In the end I summited and got an auto electrician to sort the problem..you was right. There was no live feed going the the bulb carriers.
The car had a towbar fitted from new and the assumption was that over time the wiring loom must have been chaving when the...
Hi all, I'm wondering if there is a second fuse box on my exeo st due to the number plate lights bulbs not working. The bulbs are new and the carriers are new and it is reading out 0.4 on multi meter. I believe this normal due to the canvas system. So my thinking other than the wiring is a blown...
Depends if your locksmith is call out...£70 sounds about right if he comes to you...

Hi aidy,
I replaced mine about 2 month. Easy replacement once the front lense is taken off. Dave @ SERE sold me one for £29ish with postage. Not bad when eBay where doing them @ £35 + p&p.

Hi nick,
Can't give much info on the removing the seat and sorting the airbag connector bit.
Just wanted to mention that disconnecting the battery and left a while could cause a couple of problems. If left too long the immobiliser chip in the key wouldn't be able to communicate with the...
Hey guys, it seems to of worked.
Didn't noticed any leaks with the boot trim off so I put a beading of clear sealant around the light cluster and that has seemed to prevail.
It's bouncing down and has been left for a few hours and no leak. Must be a design fault with the lights being brand...
Had the exact same problem with the contacts corroded. Used a file to clean like you did and work for while till the message appeared again. I eventually changed the bulb carrier which showed signs of rust. No brainer @ £16 from dealer with postage.
Sounds like a common problem.

Thanks chris for the tips. Anything helps when your scratching your head on what to do next.
I'm thinking it might be the seals around the window. I think what's needed is to take the the plastic trim off upper/bottom part and get someone to hose pipe the car while I sit in the boot.
I...
Hi everyone, I'm currently having a problem with water leaking inside the boot door of my exeo estate.
I've replaced both lights units with new carriers and replaced the LED rear center brake light thinking it might be the the seals that have failed/perished.
Everytime it rains and I set off I...
Hi, just wondering how easy it would be to change the gearstick knob as mine is scratched to buggery through the wedding ring??

I've noticed it on mine. Thinks there is more than one culprit. The electrics on the back play a part. Nothing to worry about.

Hi, have you tried some lubrication. I work in the locksmith industry doing a lot if dealership work on locks n keys. Try graphite powder but not too much.
