Finally got it sorted. 2 trips to the dealer in total but it is now fixed :D, definitely a common fault because once they fixed it they tested it against their Demo Cupra which had the noise mine no longer did :funk:
I've been considering doing this on my Cupra Black for a while.
What 18s did you go with? Any pics? What size are the tyres?
Cheers
Edit - Think I just found them in this thread http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=433996
Put my car into the dealer on Monday about a wind/whistling noise above 55mph ish coming from the drivers door right where my ear is at. Got it back Wednesday with no fix but an acknowledgement that there is a problem (gee thanks!).
They have taken a video of it and sent it to Seat's...
Just to keep everyone updated on this, the service manager got in touch with the following
'Hi ......has passed on your pictures and I must firstly apologise for your inconvenience. I would like to see the wheel if its ok with yourself to see if it can be polished out, if not I will send the...
Yeah I would never buy a car from them to be honest. My thinking was its a new car and they are the only Seat dealer anywhere near me, a simple puncture repair shouldn't be too taxing surely
They would literally have no chance of saying it wasnt them, I have pics of the wheel on the...
I'll try to keep this short.
So my tyre pressure, front right, light came on Monday evening on the drive home, checked it and it was 27psi when i parked up up home.
Tuesday morning, it was flat as a pancake. I pumped it up and went to see my local Seat (Arnold Clark) dealer.
They told...
Mine changes back even though with the door leds and stuff you think it has stayed in the last setting. The manual as mentioned confirms it changes back.
They might have been standard fit at some point but they defintely seem to have changed tack. Someone even checked the chassis number for me and confirmed the build codes do show it without mats which surprised them. The new leon accessory price list has them as an accessory too...
Thanks Smiddy.
Yeah I agree its terrible service but as I said before if you actually walked into the dealer and bought/leased the car I'm sure the salesman would sort you out a set. Maybe the dealers had a bunch in their storerooms that quickly ran out when the Cupra lease deals began :rofl...
To conclude the carpet mat saga if anyone still cares lol.
Been on the phone to Seat Customer Services, they have confirmed the mats are not standard and if you have been given them without asking it would have been at dealer discretion. So I can order a 'UK sourced' set (presume this is just...
Update lads. The broker guy has got back to me, leased a few cars off him so we have a good relationship. He has been back and forth with the dealer (with the evidence and links I sent him) who for info purposes is Sytner North Wales.
They have reached the conclusion that it is not a standard...
Good find mate and thanks to everyone else who made suggestions. This is now in the hands of the sales guy who I did the deal with in the first place. I've presented the evidence and he will speak to the supplier again. I'm hopeful they will provide the mats just to get me off their case :cartman:
So my lease company has come back with the following:
'The supplier has come back to us and unfortunately the vehicle does not come with Car Mats.
Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards'
Does anyone have any proof that they are in...
Wouldn't surprise me that they ran out of mats similarly to running out of paint colours
The lease company have got back to me and they have contacted the supplier to enquire whether or not they are standard although the replies in here suggest they are.
