Ive recently sold my cupra and now drive an AMG merc and from the info that i have read from merc/amg forums it tricks the ecu into thinking the throttle is further down than it really is merc boys have been using these for awhile now...
correct:D
From what i have read on other forums about them they seem to be a device that tricks the ECU by telling it the throttle pedal has been pushed down further than it really has
how about a lightened g60 fly wheel and vr6 clutch. dont go to light or you will get gearbox chatter 14lbs should be ok.

lots of cars have charge coolers as standard and most are perfect for road use.
Escort Cos WRC spent most of there life on full boost which creates heat and after awhile the water in a charge cooler will heat up and become less effective at cooling the intake charge.
A cheaper way of cooling...
nope.
i had a blueflame downpipe a millteck cat back on my old ibiza but it needed about 3 inches cut of the catback system to fit properly. but well worth it and it only cost £20 to get the 3" cut out and then re-welded
