Made a huge difference to myself. As soon as I step on the pedal I want the car to move and it just didnt on gradual by time, it took what seemed an age to start moving. With direct it definitely takes a few days to get used to if you have driven with the gradual by time for a while like I did...
So took the car in today and the technician said they have been told by Seat to replace the Rear pads and replacement pin kit to be fitted. Then its a waiting game to see if the issue comes back or is resolved. Not great its not a concrete fix but I'm happy something is being done and that all I...
Update, called dealer yesterday 25/03/21 to be told the car is to get booked in. Car is booked in for work next friday 02/04/21 however, women on the phone couldn't give me the reason as to why it is getting booked in and what work is to be carried out...
Phoned the dealer again yesterday and turns out the car is to be booked in. So its going in next friday but when I asked on the phone why its going in and for what work, the women didnt know...? Time will tell what is getting done as I am not leaving the car unless I am explained on...
I'm still waiting to hear back from the dealer regarding the rear brake noise however, I have not had the issue reappear since the start of January surprisingly. Makes me think the freezing temperatures might have been causing the issue as since its warmed up slightly above freezing its not...
There are a load of options but whether or not they actually work is a different story. My MK3 Leon you could change a whole load of stuff but the whole VAG brand has now clamped down on a lot of the changes for whatever reason on the newer cars. I didn't try any other changes other than the...
Might be worth plugging in a Carista or similar device and checking what the throttle response is set to. I got mine in november 2020 as well and thought the throttle was temperamental at times. Turns out the throttle response was on 'gradual by time'. I changed this to 'direct input' and its...
Yeah that's the same tyres that came on my MK3 and now my Ateca, they are truly awful unless its a bright summer's day. I changed to Michelin Pilot sport 4's on my MK3 and the difference was night and day.
Update, called the dealer yesterday 27/01/21 to be told there is still no update but on the system there is a date shown as the 22/02/21. The dealer doesn't know what the date means... but assumes it will be for a response from seat.
As others have said the summer tyres are garbage in the lower temperatures. I had a lot of wheel spin when I first got the car but I felt the throttle was not responsive enough. So I plugged in my Carista into the car and there is a throttle response behaviour, mines was set to 'gradual by time'...
Im like yourself and always have the A/C on. I wiped the inside of the windscreen clear last week and cleaned it. Not had any issues yet but the temperature has went up slightly in Scotland so I will need to wait until next week when it is meant to hit below freezing again to see if the problem...
Seems like I can’t catch a break with the new car. My Ateca has the ‘heated windscreen’ which I thought will be great, I will be able to defrost the windscreen in a minute or two and be good to go. Oh how I was wrong. The heated windscreen does clear the outside of the windscreen perfectly but...
Yeah its the same up here in Scotland, all showrooms are closed and only service departments working. I had spoke to the service manager on the day I took the car in back in December and ever seen its been the service desk workers who are then saying the mechanic/service manager is still waiting...
Phoned the dealer on the 13th January for an update, told there is a backlog due to people being on furlough (seems everywhere uses it as an excuse) but I should hear back on either 18th or 19th January. Now it's the 20th and still not heard back. I will give them today and if I dont get a call...
I had mines booked in and they couldn't find an issue. I've been told I should hear either tomorrow or Tuesday if SEAT have got back to them to confirm if there is a known fault or not. With the creaking I've not really heard any on my Ateca but my old MK3 leon did when turning at really low...
Here is the issue Im having with the rear brakes when reversing on my 20 plate Ateca, let me know if this is the same as your dads issue. https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/loud-horn-like-noise-when-braking-in-reverse-gear.463329/
