My car will be going in for this issue (P2422) in a couple of weeks. I was told over the phone that they will likely either replace a sensor or the evap valve itself, depending on what is causing the fault. Warranty will cover it (my car is a MY2021 with 11,000km).

Good find. I wonder if anyone is up for trying to plug the holes with colour-coloured plastic plugs - that might be a reasonable alternative to painting the whole bumper just for a few small holes. E.g. https://bumperplugs.com/bumperplugs-for-volkswagen I had this same issue with my 2016...
