Remove the resenator completly. Buy used Cupra/Golf GTI exhaust. I have MK7 GTI exhaust which i bought, then i bought straight pipes. So now it sounds more like i want and the Cupra rear part with its diffuser looks great with one exhaust on each side on my 1.8 TSI FR. But the DSG farts only...

I bought a MK7 Golf GTI exhaust system to my 1.8tsi FR because I have cupra diffuser and I want one pipe on each side plus better sound which I got but wasn't enough. The GTI exhaust is 65 mm while the 1.8tsi FR is 60 mm so it's little bit larger. The cat-back MK7 exhaust i bought got mounted...

BTW this is the part they should have put on the car (but the correct model for Cupra diffuser, not with one sided exhaust).

Yeah that's exactly how I mean I would have done with an VAG exhaust. Only have silencer on the rear. Hope it doesn't drone. Maybe you can tell how it is after you have tested it out? May I ask where you bought the replacement pipe? Regards
