  1. 125 - 150bhp engines

Power delivery is fine. No issues there. I put the blanking plug in when I get the car serviced and the fault computer will throw up a few errors from the chip. The garage is ok with that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. 125 - 150bhp engines

I found the 125 engine lacked oomph when I needed it. I fitted it when the car had less than 5k on it. And gives me the power when I need it. Yes I get better mpg - about 2% - but whether this improvement is from the racechip or the engine is run in, I couldn’t say. Sent from my iPad using...
  3. 125 - 150bhp engines

Yes! The 150hp engine had ACT. The computer switched 2 cylinders off when they weren’t needed. Engine braking was crap, but fuel economy brilliant (I averaged 57.5 mpg). But there were reliability issues. So VW dropped it in favour of the 125hp engine. I have this in my new car. No ACT, so...
  4. Shall I buy this 66 plate or wait for a 17 plate? Opinions please

[QUOTE="Oliver Hall, post: 4793611, member: I had the same car. as you are looking at. 60k faultless miles. They did have a problem with the hazard light switch - but that was easily sorted. I replaced it like for like-ish with the facelift version Sept 17. The larger touchscreen does...
  5. Paint code help!

Look inside the boot under the floor. It’s on the spare wheel surround Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Help Needed! Nav System

Ask a dealer. Chances are that it will have to be registered to the car anyway - and the cost of an upgrade is plain stupid. For this reason I don’t use the nav on my 2017 Leon. Waze is MUCH better! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Front assist - warning but nothing there?

Mine often does it on a certain bend. There is a bollard in the centre of the road and I think the sensors pick this up as in the car’s path and see it as if a collision hazard. Even does it on a frosty road. Thankfully it doesn’t apply the brakes! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. any good tuning box ?

I use racechip on my 125 hp 1.4 petrol. Average 52 mpg. Kicks out 145hp. Easy fit too. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Buy used or new through a broker

I bought my first Leon through a broker. Gbcardeals. £3k cheaper than the best price I could get from a local dealer. Mine was a factory order delivered from a uk dealer. Jharkhand warranty work done ok and no issues on servicing. When I changed the car in Sept at 3 yrs (60k) I used my local...
  10. New owner maybe

The titanium is only available in the 3 door FR. Don’t think it has many additional bits though. No spare, just goo - which is brilliant if you have the right sort of puncture. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. 1.4TSI 150 economy

This was from my last one. 150 ACT. 55 mpg normal. The ridiculous 70 mpg was on a run from Stafford to Herts and the M1 was running at 40 mph for miles. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Speeding Letter

Sorry. The NIP just says you were speeding. Some forces don’t even tell you the recorded speed. The letter usually says that you need to go to court to see the evidence. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Depreciation

I’ve just changed mine. Bottom line is that cost of ownership for 3 yrs and 60k miles (tyres, servicing, fuel and tax) was 25 pence per mile. Can’t complain about that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Speeding Letter

I deliver speed awareness courses. Cloned plates do occasionally happen. Write to the police and tell them that you believe your plate has been cloned. Tell them about your car and ask them to review the photographic evidence. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Cupra 300 - Mediterranean Blue?

I had 17in on the last one. The 18 in makes for quite a hard ride. I would t have chosen this option - but it was pre-ordered on the car I bought. Interestingly there is no warning light on the dashboard for the front fog lamps - but they do come on for corners! A mate of mine has a...
  16. Cupra 300 - Mediterranean Blue?

Mine came with winter pack. And 18in performance wheels. The wife loves the heated seats!!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Seat Leon Cupra 300 - A pillar removal?

No need to add a fuse. As the fuse box is vertical, the piggyback thingies will just fall out. The fuse for the accessory socket has 2 possible positions. Default: ignition on. But move it a half slot down and it’s constantly live. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Seat Leon Cupra 300 - A pillar removal?

I used a screwdriver. Put the fuse in the ‘constant live’ position though ... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Cupra 300 - Mediterranean Blue?

It’s OK. Picked mine up today. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Seat Leon Cupra 300 - A pillar removal?

Fuse box is behind glove box. Gently pull both sides towards centre. Glove box will swing down more to allow access to fuse box. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
