I get plenty of fluid through them so that’s no issue and if I’m honest I’ve put up with it for the past 7 years but I’ve got to the point where it’s starting to bug me now. Nothing worse than salty motorway spray only clearing from the bottom of the screen on one side. Passenger side sprays...
Evening all. My 2010 FR washer jets spray 90% at the base of the screen. I’ve tried to adjust them but can’t seem to work out how. Are they knackered or is there someone that can “point me in the right direction”? Apologies for the crap joke.
Mine do this too so must be the way it was built I guess. Strange thing I’ve noticed though with mine is if the wipers are on position 2, slowest constant speed, and I hit 80mph they pause at the bottom of the screen. Maybe only for one second, but then carry on wiping back up the screen to the...
Problem solved. Managed to get a second pair of hands to pull and hold the trim back enough to get my hands in and reconnect the pipe. Drop of glue added too so hopefully it won’t happen again.
Morning all. I’ve followed what I can of this thread https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/guide-how-to-fix-the-common-leaking-rear-washer-pipe-in-the-boot-passenger-footwell.256638/
But I’ve hit a wall now. I can’t for the life of me work out how to get the black trim panel off to be able...
I didn’t have to cut but it was a bit fiddly to get it to sit under the boot. Maybe that’s my issue 😁. I’ll have a look on my days off this week. But after a drive though so it’s nice and warm in the car 🤣
Apologies for the late reply but I’ve been flat out at work and home. Fitted the part easily which was good. Only issue I have is I have to kinda slam the boot to get it to latch properly. Hoping it’s just a slight adjustment needed. If not I guess you get what you pay for haha. Was less than...
Thanks mate. New part arrived yesterday so fitting it tomorrow morning. Of all the tools I have, ironically the one I need I don’t have haha. Picking one up in the morning so it’ll be sorted then. Yeah looks really easy to swap over. Cheers for the reply mate
It can be done in situ but believe me, from experience it’s not an easy job. I had to buy a tiny ratchet and modify an Allen bit to make it shorter just so I could get in. Took me a good 5 hours in the cold and numerous profanities 🤣
I’ll try and get it off in the morning then weather permitting. Can open it from inside in the meantime but it’s a pain and defeats the object of having a boot latch
Afternoon all. Just gone to open my boot on my 2010 Leon FR and it’s not opening but making a strange noise from the motor. Not sure if I can upload a video. I’ll try YouTube. Is it an easy fix or needing a replacement latch/motor?

Good morning all. The backbox on my 2010 FR 170 is pretty battered now. Outer skin has peeled massively which is just getting worse. I’ve seen this delete pipe for a reasonable price but what I’d like to know is if I was to remove the box and replace with this pipe am I going to make my car...
Finally managed to swap the actuator over. Don’t fancy doing that again I tell ya. The diaphragm had gone on the old one as it wasn’t holding any vacuum. New one in and set as best as I could. Desired voltage as full extension is 0.4volts. I couldn’t get less than 0.5volts for some reason. Any...
Nice one thanks for the heads up. Managed to borrow my daughters car so I can get to work and back this week so will have a crack at fixing mine after.
Yes mate they did email them through to me. Is it relatively easy to replace in situ? Can it all be done from the top or does it require going underneath the engine too?
