Its not about being experienced, I have never put the wrong fuel in my vehicles and I have driven different ones but coming to something where you have to buy something to stop you !
I have been driving for nearly 50 years and never heard of a "Misfuel device" yes I have heard of people putting the wrong fuel in, back in the day some garages used to put the fuel in for you and I have even seen an attendant put the wrong stuff in
I would have thought you cannot use the wires that are there as they are can-bus, but not a hard job to get a 12 volt feed from the fuse box up to the interior light, just pull the plastic away on the "A" pillar and its a very easy job
I don't know about the 2006 one nut just find the fuse for the cigarette socket and remove the fuse and you should find there is three connectors where the fuse comes out of if the fuse was in the upper section then replace into the lower section and it will be Ign fed.
I would not "coast" in neutral backwards, as you won't have reversing lights, but its a lot easer controlling than with a Manuel, but all you have to do is very gently press the accelerator, and it will move slowly
have you read the Manuel ? I know the clip shows touching the handle but you have said it unlocks when close to the car , one way to test is leave the remote away from the car and see if it unlocks with the handle touching !
also have a look in the infotainment centre and see if you can see the...
Yes thats a shame I am in the north of the county, I was going to suggest I could help you, but as you say a big county, but if you have a multi meter just get someone to press the break pedal while you check the voltage
You are wrong, when it is set in the settings (you have to have your fob on you, but as you walk up to the car it unlocks, but to lock it you have to just touch the handle with your hand
If the top brake light works its not the switch which leaves its the bulbs, bulb holder or earth. You say the bulbs are fine but how do yo know ? have you checked for voltage at the holders ??
Thats how it works ! if you have the key fob in your pocket it will unlock the door, take the key fob away from the car and it won't unlock, it can be handy as you get close to the car it unlocks,
I think there is setting to knock it off though
"I’ve noticed that once the vehicle is locked if I grab drivers door the indicators flash and it unlocks," well don't grab the door handle ! after it is locked
