    Very stiff drivers door

Yeah, someone recommended this: https://www.screwfix.com/p/wd-40-specialist-white-lithium-grease-400ml/46103 The more and more we use the door, the easier it is seeming to be to open.

    Key cover

can anyone recommend a decent key cover? Like one of those rubber ones or similar. I had one which wasn’t very good. It wasn’t a tight enough fit. Lost it anyway!!

    Head unit replacement guide

Argh!!! I'm going to have another look at what I already have tonight and see if any of it is salvageable. So, as I see it, if I pretend this is a new install and I was removing the OEM head unit, I'm thinking I would need: Fascia adapter...

    Head unit replacement guide

Ok so here is my conundrum..... My Leon came with a Chinese double din unit when I bought it. No apple car play, so I bought a Sony double din to get car play. I wrongly assumed this would be a simple swap over!!!! What I’ve realised is, the existing unit is not double Din. So, what fascia...

    Head unit replacement guide

Hi all, Can anyone point me in the direction of a head unit replacement guide? Before I start a different long thread of what my problem is, I may find it in a good guide if there is one? I found a MK4 one, but not sure how applicable that is to a MK2.

    Very stiff drivers door

Hi everyone. The drivers door on my car is extremely stiff to open and close. Is there anything I can do to the knuckle thing to make it easier to open and close? Or can something be replaced to totally fix it?

Central locking - random lock and unlock while driving

Hi everyone. Recently, my car has started to randomly lock and unlock the doors whilst driving. How annoying! It locks as I move away as I would expect it to, but then as I’m driving along I can hear it locking and unlocking at random times. Any ideas what is causing this and how I could...

    Parking sensor retrofit

Ok so, I bought the little camera above. I’ve been scoping out how to fit it and all seems fine. One question I have is, where would I look to take the power for the camera from? Does it need to be power that is only present when hitting reverse? Common sense would say tap into the reversing...

Thanks for those ideas. I will have a look into them. Could be some nice additions to the car there. The remap sounds very interesting!!!

    Parking sensor retrofit

I found this on eBay: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F152544511120 I wonder if this would fit where one of the number plate light fittings is? Seems like a nice idea if it works. I’m pretty sure the aftermarket head unit that’s fitted will...

    Parking sensor retrofit

Hi Rusty, It doesn’t have one of those, but it does have some sort of double Din aftermarket unit. I’ll get the manual out and see if it can accommodate a camera. I might call Seat this afternoon and get a quote. At least that way I know what the worst possible case is!!!!!

    Another newbie

No major plans. My wife will drive it on a day to day basis and me at the weekends. So she said no to a dump valve lol. It literally needs no work doing to it either. Touch wood. It doesn’t have a rear spoiler, so that may be something I look into. It has an aftermarket double Din, but I...

    Parking sensor retrofit

Hi everyone. Just bought a mk2 FR. I’m not sure whether parking sensors were an option or not, but to prevent my wife from bumping into stuff when parking, I need to get some sensors fitted. As a minimum, to the back. But ideally to the front too. Has anyone any experience with...

    Another newbie

Morning everyone. Another newbie here. Recently bought a 2008 FR 2.0 TSFI DSG and loving it. Had one Seat in the past - a Ibiza Cupra Sport. Had a couple of Golfs too - V6 4motion and a GTI TDI, both mk4. My current Leon is a tidy example - only 32k miles on the clock!!! Has a nice H&R...
