I had a remap on my Skoda Fabia 1.2TSI and since the engine is the same my experiences below should apply for the Leon as well.
Even if the figures aren't super impressive for the gains I was very pleased with the added grunt after the remap on my Fabia. Mine had 131HP/234Nm if I recall...
Had my DSG remapped with TVS Engineering Stage II+ software yesterday. Despite it still adapting itself I can already feel a huge improvement in the driveability and performance of the gearbox. Silky smooth takeoffs and gear changes and the shift points that were selected based on my engine...
Tire profile is basically the side wall aspect ratio to the tire section width. On a 235/35 tire the side wall height, measured from the wheel rim to the outside of the tread, is 35% of the section width. In this case 82.25mm.
This said the difference between the tire sidewall height on a 235...
Slight correction: The ones in your link aren't actually fitted by grub screws but rather by a clamp on fitment. Please check https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/dsg-paddle-extensions.448705/page-2#post-4828638 for info about these and other extensions.
Just checked my logs and I've averaged 514km (320 miles) with a low of 437km (272 miles) and a high of 625km (388 miles). I always use 98RON fuel.
It's worth noting that my driving is mainly around town and motorways. I also rarely let it run empty so my fill-ups have usually been with around...
I had the same behavior in my old 1.2TSI Skoda Fabia manual. My impression was that it's programmed in the ECU to prevent stalling when taking off. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but based on my experience I'd say it's normal behavior.
Super easy to fit these, literally took me 3 minutes to replace both of them thanks to the tips provided in this thread. I followed the recommendation to adjust them to the highest setting before fitment and the spray is spot on.
Super happy and 100% worth it!
I've been looking to do this mod for a while now. The factory fitted pistol jets spray all over the place and the washer fluid consumption has been way too high with them. It's either this or I have a leak somewhere in the washer system...
Got a decent price for a pair of brand new genuine...
I agree that they are pretty substantial but I like it as they're always within reach. I have these on my 280 ST and I don't have issues with them hitting the back of the steering wheel. Maybe something wrong with the ones you got? Good that you were able to return them :)
I went for the Swedish BSR tune as I already had their PPC3 unit. Their website claims 359HP / 462Nm and according to my "butt dyno" it's about right.
With the PPC it's a simple job of downloading the maps, putting them on the PPC unit and plugging it in the OBD2 port. You can also revert back...
I've always been a fan of the Leon Cupras and remember always picking the Mk1 Leon Cupra in the Project Gotham Racing game as a kid. Ever since the Mk3 ST Cupra was announced I knew I had to have one some day. At the time I was driving a Mk5 Golf GTI that I bought off my dad which I sadly had to...
I did a BSR Stage 1 remap on my 2015 ST Cupra 280 DSG during the weekend. I have their PPC3 unit and have been running their maps on my previous two cars without issues (2005 Golf MKV GTI and 2015 Fabia 1.2 TSI). Initial feelings are good and there's definitely a lot more grunt but due to the...
I'm very happy with them. The clamping force is good even if I didn't screw them all the way. I left a small 1-2mm gap as I didn't want to put excess force on the plastic paddles. Holding up great so far and no rattles at all.
I don't recall them having any texture on the back and I won't be around the car until next week to check.
@Copeys might be able to send a pic of the back of them to verify since he hasn't got anything to mount them on yet?
