    Stage 2 mods

You can run the RFD without the map, but it'll sound like **** when started from cold!

    Stage 2 mods

It's more a question of torque than power. There are some 2.0-litre lumps running some big figures in both power & torque. I'd probably say anything above 450lbs is on borrowed time if run hard.

    Stage 2 mods

The RS4 valve has been discussed loads of times in detail mate, but essentially it keeps fuel pressure from dropping below what is requested (on some maps). It was used to fix the flat spot in the old REVO code. GIAC still recommend it. Not sure about APR until Stage 3. Loads of cars run stock...

Why are you doing the the LPFP on APR code mate? They don't even need that for Stage 3 now.

    Engine Oil for Cupra (10-60)

Maybe look at a 5-40? 10-60 will flow too slowly at normal operating temp. Most Jap cars are driven everywhere at 7k rpm :D At Stage 2+ you're recommended to drop the oil every 3-4k anyway, so losing a little oil and having to top up is all part of maintenance IMO. You're not seeing any blue...

    Engine Oil for Cupra (10-60)

How about something like Motul Specific 504/507 fully synthetic? Is your car tuned? If Stage 2+ and driven hard, maybe look at Motul 300V 5W30?

    Engine Oil for Cupra (10-60)

There's no doubt it is terrific oil mate, but I'd be reluctant to use something that thick in these engines. I can't see you racking up oil temps of 125c for a prolonged period of time.

    Engine Oil for Cupra (10-60)

But your car isn't super charged nor is it Jap crap. You should stick to VW approved oils. 10-60 is too thick IMO. Should be more like 5w-30

    Remap Science??

One of the best tuners in the country mate. Very highly recommended.

just got the new 3.31 apr file

What was done to your car other than a remap to release that amount of torque mate? If Revo Stage 2+ was running 60lbs less, wouldn't that put your pre-APR torque at around 300-310lbs? 320lbs max. Those figures are obviously considerably less than what a Stage 2+ car should make. Were your...

just got the new 3.31 apr file

Pretty certain it's officially available now mate. A couple of people have just had their Golf Rs flashed over on rforum.co.uk http://www.rforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3457&start=45

    Leon Cupra HPFP

It's great for Willi. Bad for the poor sucker that gets this lemon afterwards. Make sure you broadcast the plate Willi.

Insurance on a modified Leon Cupra

Good point Rob. I know a friend that couldn't even get a quote from Greenlight due to the area they live in. I know they exclusions on certain, targeted vehicles - but that is what keeps their prices down.

    Leon Cupra HPFP

Great post. Exactly why I also asked if the belt had been changed. Agree with everything there. I would be demanding that the guy that mapped the car isn't allowed anywhere near it.

    Custom code or revo

If you want to look at either Revo or GIAC then Statller in Sheffield are dealers of both. Revo and APR are probably the most popular in the UK, but GIAC is huge in the States and is easily a match for the other two. Do your research and code, find a respected local tuner to flash and support...
