I have a genuine set sat in my shed that are from a 2012 Supercopa. Anyone wants them give me a shout. As long as I get £15 quid out of them after postage I'm happy
I'm in Eastleigh Hampshire if anyone local wants to collect.
Yep,
It works like a charm. A few months ago I had a bulb warning flag up for the reg plate light. checked and found one of my resistor bulbs up inside the bumper had blown. Changed it and all is fine again. They were old bulbs floating about in my shed so I guess it's OK.
That's an amazing idea
Use a 5w bulb and bulb holder as a resistor and pop it up inside the bumper hole. Job done, no light visible from the 5w bulb and no nasty wire wound resistors getting up to thermo nuclear temps either.
There you...
Poor battery.
Poor battery or earth connections.
Starter motor has brush debris (graphite powder) all over the insides causing resistance.
To try and eliminate the starter motor try banging it before you start in the morning to see if the sluggishness goes.
Do you have a cheap test...
Welcome along old bloke.
The thread title caught my eye.
You should check out the jokes and fun section, there's a lot in there that I reckon you'll like.
You need VCDS to read any error codes. or a local friendly SCN member who likes beer.
Crank sensor is high up the list if the belt looks good and the TDC marks line up.
Crank sensor is only monitored during starting (so I'm informed)
A bit like buying a house, then jet washing the front door and wondering why the carpet just inside the door is wet. Then getting all childish about why the house doesn't have a 100% water tight door like a submarine.
Your headlights do not have an air or water tight seal (pretty much no car...
Ive given the Vpower diesel a try and I found it seemed to tick over a little quieter but that was all. I tend to full with it in the summer when the windows are down.
Vpower diesel has a touch more cetane than regular derv.
Each to their own but +40 BHP?
Realy???????
You get 40 BHP from an extra 2 octane?
WOW! that's an unbelievable claim........................
Personally, having given it a good go (really wanting it to make a difference) I came to the conclusion that it was all placebo. Unless you have massive mods designed to take full advantage...
Remove the cover for changing a bulb. Hair dryer and some cardboard tube to make sure the warm air gets into the back of the headlight for 10 mins. Let it all cool down before refitting the cover otherwise it will condensate again.
Job done.
Try to avoid big puddles in future.
The difference between 97 and 99 is 2. can you really tell any difference during road use and driving within the legal limits? I know that I never could when I had a 20vt. IMO if your car runs better on 99 or whatever super dooper stuff they market these days then your car has something wrong...
