I have actually no idea. was on the car when I bought (albeit wrapped in cheesy fake carbon vinyl). I have tried to find out where it came from a couple of times with no luck. It is thin abs plastic.
I think it actually look pretty good.
Really nice! Dark grey really suits these wee Cupras. I have the twincharged version, after a new engine and a full engine rebuild it is working perfectly.
I might try your "Cupra" badge mood
Haven't updated in a while! Haven't had anything go write :)
Car works perfectly, I reckon I have done 8000 miles since the rebuilt engine and it still runs perfect.
I know these engines have a bad reputation, but when working they really are great. 220ish bhp in such a light car (revo stage...
Worked out well enough with etc wing mirror caps, I decided to do the same with the bumper trims and the rear "diffuser". Like the mirror caps, the top coat and the water transfer were both lifting/pealing. The diffuser was a bit challenging due to its size, I wasn't sure it would look good...
I used to really enjoy detailing a car, but I fell out of love with it. Decided to blow the dust of the old DA. I was also intrigued by these new ceramic waxes so I got some meguiars ceramic liquid wax. Was super easy to apply and buff off.
Here is a wee sample of what I use. Everyone has a...
I have an android head unit fitted, I think it is really good, I run it with a AGAMA launcher.
I had an after market arm rest and I thought it was garbage. I fitted a OEM arm rest, month to existing holes in the floor and is solid.
I can check the air/fuel ratio, i will check that later.
The O2 sensor was changed yesterday.
I cant understand why the car now runs on for some seconds after IGN is off.
Thread update: Replaced the after CAT O2 sensor tonight. Now I can see the O2 voltage fluctuate between 0.1v and 0.8v, so I guess the old sensor was faulty. I guess 0.46v is default value when the sensor is faulty.
Onto the next issue though... Th engine seems to run on a couple of seconds...
Moving forward, I am relying in a ELM OBD plug and the Car Scanner App for the moment.
The app does have an "emissions" diagnose function, normally I wouldn't bother and would rely on codes and live data. But I gave it a try
So these issues match my live data diagnosis of the O2...
Retested today. I made sure the CAT was well warmed up but it failed again
At 2500 rpm the levels were pretty clean. I cant quite figure it out, I first thought it could be the CAT, but i made sure it was hot before the second test and it made no difference. The car is definitely over...
