Hi guys,
I've got a Mk1 LCR which completely lost all power and wouldn't start a few months ago. I'd then changed the Fuel Pump Relay (409) and it started and has been starting perfectly fine until then.
I've got a remap for Stage 2 booked in with Badger5 in a week or so's time and figured...
Nice! Well if he's up for a swap or even a sale.....I'd be tempted. It sounds like a decent example with not so ridiculous miles!
Yup - I've had a few at stage 2 before, and I do miss the dsg gearbox being from london! lol
PM me with some details if he's up for discussing it :)
I think you should keep your Leon BUT only because you've got a new Cupra and I like what you've got in mind with regards to modifying the mk1. Who offered you the swap? I could be tempted as I have had a few mk5's and have loved them.
Hi guys,
I've got issues with my Leon Cupra R 225. It struggles to start after being left for a couple of hours - although it does eventually start up. Then once started it feels unusually rough, though it sorts itself out on occasion which is why I'm so confused / annoyed.
I have replaced...
Hi mate,
I've managed to hardwire my dash cam in. I purchased a couple of fuse taps and managed to get a live and a switched live feed from the fuse box to power the Blackview Power Magic Pro which in turn powers my dashcam.
If you need specific fuses, let me know and I'll get the info/pic...
Hi guys,
I'm looking to purchase a downpipe for my LCR. Ideally I want a 3" downpipe to mate up with my Cobra catback. I don't mind going decat, though a sports cat is preferred.
Any recommendations / pointers will be welcome!
Thanks in advance!
Where do I get a system like this? It'd be good to be able to alternate between decat/cat for when needs must. With your current set up, it looks like you can change it on some ramps which is ideal!
Oh my - That looks perfect - almost identical to what I'd hope for!
With regards to the downpipe...Decat or Sportscat? Oh and 3" is the one to go for right? I've got a quote for a Relentless downpipe which seems pretty reasonable considering it's 3" diameter.
Also I think you may have missed...
Thanks Sparkie!
I may well end up going back to R-tech as I've got another MK5 which I'll be taking up there again soon. I was just curious as to find out whether there was anybody closer to me who specialises in these cars. I take it the fact you ignored AMD I should probably steer clear too...
Hi guys,
I'm new to the 1.8t world so excuse my lack of knowledge on the platform. I'm looking to get my LCR mapped at some point this summer and was wondering who I should go to.
I've previously had a couple of MK5 GTI's and I've always gone to R-tech for them as they are widely regarded as...
Hi guys,
I'm looking to get my LCR wheels refurbed. I was looking at purchasing another set of wheels to use while I get them off and sent away.
What other oem wheels fit over the LCR brakes? The cheaper the better as I'm probably not going to use them much!
Thanks
Hi guys,
I've recently bought a Cupra R. It's just ticked over 90k miles and I was thinking of giving it a full service in the near future. (It's due in about 5k miles so have decided to start researching what bits I will need)
For reference it has a Jetex filter with a Badger5 v3 TIP. It...
I've actually got a glovebox for sale! Ready for you to swap it over if you needed.
It's a total of 4 screws holding the glovebox in and its a relatively straight swap.
Let me know if you need anymore help!
Hi guys,
I've recently got a Leon Cupra R and have got my Blackvue dashcam which I removed from my previous car. I want to install this and hardwire it so it is permanently on (I already have the blackview box which will cut power once the battery voltage drops below a certain value so I'm not...
Hi guys,
One of my front washer jets is not aiming correctly and is squirting the screen wash onto my roof / the car behind me if travelling quick.
Is there anything I can do to fix the aim of the nozzle?
Thanks
Hi guys,
I'm looking to do a brake change all round on my Cupra R in the not too distant future. I'm planning on running DS2500 pads up front but am struggling with which discs to pair with them.
For the rears I'm thinking the stock set up should be more then fine for my use - though I'm...
Thanks for taking your time to post this - I've now got one! The last owner (A member on here) had it for 7 years and its done 89k miles with a full extensive history.
I must stress though that after having 2 MK5 GTI's - they do feel a little nicer to drive on the road - I think they're...
