I've been doing some research and have come across 2 main companies.

Based in Cardiff, £1500 for collection, rebuild or replacement with a refurbished unit. With 12 months warranty. This does not include anything else that may be damaged such as...
I just fitted H&R springs on mine yesturday as I was only after a small drop and I know that the quality is good as have used them before. Really impressed so far. Have heard a few people use Eibachs on the mk5 golf and changed them due to ride quality.
Don't rush into anything, just wait. The right car will come up in the end. I was very fussy on the options as I wanted as many as possible but the must have were Xenons and bluetooth so I got the large display.
If you want a K1 then wait and get a proper K1 as it's already been said K1's were...
my bad, been a long day and started reading your post the wrong way and didn't even see the smiley.
It's tough for both parties when it comes to problems :)
Calm down. Don't get your knickers in a twist. All I'm doing is trying to pass on information to the op from what I have seen and done in the past which is becoming a weekly ordeal. If more than anything I'm trying to pre-warn that it might need the sensor changing, not once have I said don't do...
I say this as all the DPF issues we have had come through the door have required a sensor. The only one time we didn't replace the sensor and just carried out a regen the car came back and needed the sensor not long after all for the small amount of extra money.
After two days of ownership mine came off at around 80mph. Just brought another from TPS along with there paint set and done it myself. It's really not hard as long as you take your time. Easy for me as I used to be a spray painter. The colour will never match out of a rattle can.
Having owned a DSG for 1.5 years I personally would never buy one again. The paddles are fun when driving hard but how often can you drive like that for long periods of time. your never in full control and the slight delay when wanting to pull off at a junction or roundabout frustrated the hell...
So how much of the final bill did you have to stump up for?
Personally I would have got a quote for a engine change from a local specialist, could have saved yourself hell of a lot of money. I have never heard of a glow plug snapping, but theres a first for everything.
As stated above...
That was the only thing that let the unit down, glad they have finally pulled there finger out and sorted it, might have to buy another one :)
Anybody fitted one that has the bluetooth and ipod kit installed from factory?
